5Dimes Sportsbook Review

This review will cover all the different aspects of the 5Dimes sportsbook! As we mentioned briefly in our Bovada Review, we have spent the past few years betting at a variety of sportsbooks across the web. And now that we’ve had the chance to gamble on all of these systems, we are providing detailed reviews on all the top sportsbooks for bettors in the United States.

Depositing Money

There are a variety of good ways to get money into your 5Dimes account. First, there is credit card deposits. The minimum amount for a deposit using this method is $50. First time users may be restricted to a lower maximum deposit, but typically those limits are $500. Second, there is Person to Person, however, since this isn’t a very popular method we wont get into this method in this review. Third, there is Bitcoin. Even though there is a little bit of a delay in the process because of the Bitcoin blockchain sequence, we still highly suggest Bitcoin. If you make your deposit in Bitcoin then there are no limits to the amount of money that you can have withdrawn in Bitcoin – this is a big plus.

Our hope for late 2020 or early 2021 is that they add Ethereum, Litecoin, or perhaps some other alt-coin options for deposit like the BetOnline sportsbook. Overall, all the methods are very easy to use and we have never had any issue with getting money deposited in 5Dimes.

Betting Interface

One of the biggest advantages to using 5Dimes is the shear amount of selection that is available. One can bet just about anything at the sportsbook. The image below doesn’t do it justice as this is only a partial screenshot of what the betting board looks like.

5Dimes Betting Interface

The interface is one of the places where we feel like 5Dimes Sportsbook really excels. It is very straight-forward, simple and to the point. Even though there is a vast array of betting options, all of them are very well organized and easy to navigate. 5Dimes is the best sportsbook out there for the experienced and professional bettor as they cover every type of bet imaginable (If Bets, Teasers, Action Reverse, etc.). Below is the view of the interface once a sport (or sports) is selected.

It is easy to see how well laid out the betting options are above. In the example, one can see the ability to bet on the spread, money line, and the over/under for the game. Further, there are drop down boxes for each of the options that allow the bettor to buy points to give a wider range of betting options.

Once a bet is waged, one then needs to confirm the bets by reentering their password to prevent any betting errors.

Odds/Bet Limits

Favorable odds are another reason that 5Dimes remains a very popular sportsbook for professional bettors. 10 cent lines are more or less the rule rather than the exception on MLB games. As we write this blog in May, there are already Week 1 NFL game lines that are up with 20 cent lines.

While these early lines are great for the serious sports bettor, the bet minimums are what attract the recreational gambler. For only 50 cents, one can place a bet online at the 5Dimes Sportsbook! This is the lowest minimum that we have seen in the industry and it is certainly the lowest of all the sportsbooks that we’ve reviewed. That said, we would wholeheartedly refer to 5Dimes any volume gambler that likes to place bets over a variety of different sports.

Mobile Betting

5Dimes Mobile

Mobile betting over smartphones has become increasingly popular over the past few years. We rarely do any betting from our home computer. In fact, as social bettors, about 75% of our betting is done at a sports bar so having a solid mobile betting site is very key!

One can see what the mobile site looks like in the image to the right. Even though 5Dimes did update their mobile platform, it still does not have a very friendly look on a mobile phone. The image shows exactly what the betting board looks like on a phone. If you don’t have any issue zooming in and out of your phone’s browser than you may not have an issue with this at all. Actually, the mobile site is quite functional, but it just doesn’t have the aesthetic feel of a great mobile sportsbook site.

Payouts

5Dimes now offers a wide variety of different ways to withdraw money from the sportsbook account. The first option is a cashier’s check, with a current minimum limit of $1,000 and a maximum limit of $3,000. We used to like to receive payment by check, but the high limit bothers us a little bit. Now that we are in 2020’s, one would be nuts not to use the Bitcoin option almost exclusively and it is unbelievably easy! There is also the option to receive a bank wire which is available in USD currency.

Though we are not fans of the limits for the more traditional method of payments, the payouts from 5Dimes are very reliable and customer service is easy to reach if there are any issues. Most payout options are free on Mondays between 9am and 1pm EST. Recently, 5Dimes added a 3% fee for all BTC payouts for non-exclusive bitcoin customers which significantly affects their rating in this area.

Ease and price of payouts: 7/10
